GSA United States District Courtroom Facility

Fresno, CA

RAW International executed the design intent drawings for this unique federal courtroom project, defining parameters that align functional goals and occupancy needs within existing condition constraints. RAW applied its design excellence skills to configure and furnish the courtroom, which was confined by existing structural columns that limited sightlines. In response, RAW created a "courtroom in the round", which maximized sightlines and enhanced the perception of spaciousness. The available square-footage was strategically optimized to accommodate increased security needs, multiple levels of official clearance, and fire/life-safety existing requirements.
